Testing of plant varieties under the delegated cooperation project "EU4 Moldova: Sustainable Food Systems - production"

The subject of performance is to ensure the testing and registration of agricultural varieties in the Republic of Moldova through INCAAMV – the National Institute for Crop Research and Plant Variety Testing, which is the only official institution in the country authorized to carry out official tests and variety registrations in accordance with Moldovan legislation (Government Decision No. 774/1997 and Law No. 39/2008 on the Protection of Plant Varieties). The testing includes: • drought tests, ecological tests, and the registration of varieties in accordance with national standards; • providing test results and variety assessments for the purposes of the project; • cooperation with research stations within the EU4Moldova SFS project. Approximately 70 varieties will be tested within the project over a three-year period (2026–2028).
